Samsung on Monday launched the Galaxy A7 duing a product announcement at its Samsung Forum 2015 in Bangkok, Thailand. The Galaxy A7, a premium Android smartphone, is now available in India at Rs. 30,499. Availability begins today.
Originally unravelled last month, the Samsung Galaxy A7 offers 4G LTE connectivity and a 5.5-inch FHD display. The metal-clad Galaxy A7 measures just 6.3mm in thickness, making it one of the slimmest smartphone in the market.
Here's a closer look at the Galaxy A7 in terms of its specs and features.
Samsung Galaxy A Series
Samsung last month unveiled the Galaxy A5 and A3 for the Indian market. Now the company has launched the Galaxy A7 in the country. All three smartphones are now available for purchase via Samsung's own online store.
Samsung Galaxy A7 – Design
The biggest highlight here is that the A series models come with a metal unibody construction that should appeal to the Indian buyers. The Galaxy A7 has a considerably better design than any other Samsung-made phone.
Samsung Galaxy A7 – Display
The Galaxy A7 comes with a 5.5-inch Super AMOLED display with a resolution of 1080p. The screen offers vibrant colours. And the same can be said about viewing angles.
Samsung Galaxy A7 – Processor
Samsung Galaxy A7 appears to be an elegant handset in the premium segment. But surprisingly, though, the specifications seemed to be underwhelming. Powered by a 1.5GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon 615 oct-core processor and 2GB RAM, the smartphone comes with 16GB internal storage expandable up to 64GB via microSD card.
Samsung Galaxy A7 –Cameras
There's a 13-megapixel sensor on the rear side of the device. The camera also features an LED Flash for low-light shooting. You'll find all necessary familiar shooting modes including HDR and Panorama. Also add a 5MP front-facing camera for selfies.
Samsung Galaxy A7 – Software
The A7 offers Android 4.4 KitKat but there hasn't been any word yet about a Lollipop update.
Samsung Galaxy A7 – Connectivity
In terms of connectivity, the dual-SIM smartphone supports 3G, 4G LTE, Wi-Fi 802.11 a/b/g/n, NFC and GPS.
Samsung Galaxy A7 – Battery
Just because of the unibody design, the A7's 2,600mAh battery is not removable, which is not acceptance.
