Consumers in India looking for Samsung's shiny metal-banded Galaxy Alpha can pick the device for as low as Rs. 26,990 on Snapdeal. It seems that Samsung has substantially dropped the price of its Galaxy Alpha to Rs. 26,990 - a whopping Rs.11,910 price cut from its previous price of Rs. 38,990.
The price cut came, just four months after it was launched in India. However, the smartphone is still listed at Rs 38,990 on official Samsung India website.
Featuring a 2.5GHz quad-core processor with 2GB of RAM, 32GB of internal storage, the device also packs onboard a 4.7-inch capacitive touchscreen Super AMOLED display, 12-megapixel primary camera and a 2MP front-facing shooter.
The device also includes an Ultra Power Saving Mode. Other features include 4G LTE, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, NFC and a 1,860mAh battery pack inside. Unlike the Galaxy S5, the Galaxy Alpha doesn't include a microSD card support.
Samsung Galaxy Alpha, the first in a series of new Galaxy devices that showcase the Korean company's "new design approach" seemed to fare below the company's expectations.
With the discount, it's unclear whether the Samsung Galaxy Alpha will further drop from its current "on sale" price of Rs. 26,990. Either way, it's a great deal, if you're planning to buy the Galaxy Alpha.
