South Korean handset maker Samsung, which has been losing market share to rivals in India, is gearing up to launch its new budget Android smartphone in the country.
To be called as the Galaxy Core Prime, Samsung's yet-to-be announced Android-powered smartphone has been listed on Flipkart with a price tag of Rs. 8,499. So far, there is no official word on the availability details of the Galaxy Core Prime, though we expect it to be launched sooner than expected.
With the Galaxy Core Prime, Samsung hopes to take thunder from the Micromax Canvas A1 - the latest Android One smartphone with Android 4.4 (KitKat).

But if we measure their specs and highlighted features, the Micromax Canvas A1 is victorious, with so many plus points. Not just the phone is affordable, but it will get the Android L update later this month. Moreover, the Canvas A1 runs the Android 4.4 Kitkat without any custom UI on top of Android.
