Just few hours back, Samsung announced its newest mid range smartphone: the Galaxy Grand 2. Hailed as a direct competitor to the Motorola Moto G, Samsung's Galaxy Grand 2 is already listed on Infibeam.com as 'coming soon' in India. The white colored Samsung Galaxy Grand 2 is currently listed on the online shopping website.
There is no indication whether the device will be made available in the Indian handset market later this year or sometime next year. The South Korean giant has remained mum since, although this very listing of Galaxy Grand 2 does seem authentic. But that doesn't mean the Galaxy Grand 2 (white) is coming anytime soon. Users have to wait a little longer to wait for the official announcement.
The Galaxy Grand 2 incorporates a 5.25-inch 16:9 TFT display having a resolution of 1280 x 720 pixels. The phablet features a 1.2GHz quad-core processor coupled with 1.5GB RAM and 8GB of internal memory, which can be expanded up to 64GB via a microSD card slot.
The phone has an 8-megapixel rear-facing camera with Auto Focus and LED Flash. The rear-facing camera is capable of recording videos in Full HD 1080p format, whereas a 1.9-megapixel front-facing camera records video in HD.
Android 4.3 Jelly Bean out of the box with Samsung's customized UI will surely excite you. You can get to see tons of native app support: ChatON, Samsung Hub, S Health, Group Play, S Travel, S Translator, Samsung Link, and Story Album).
The makers have added a 2600mAh battery fitted inside gives up to 17 hours of talk time and 10 hours of non-stop music play. Moreover, the handset supports Dual SIM functionality too.
Other highlighted connectivity features include: WiFi a/b/g/n, Bluetooth 4.0, GPS ＋ Glonass, and USB 2.0.
Of course, the Samsung Galaxy Grand 2 boast of great internal hardware and overall package does pack a punch. Let's not ignore to this fact that the Galaxy Grand 2 is primarily mean to lure users residing in India, where the original Galaxy Grand sold in large number.
But now when domestic vendors are already selling similar styled handsets under Rs. 15,000; it would be an uphill challenge in front of Samsung to sell the Galaxy Grand 2 above Rs. 23,000( speculated retail price ).
