Samsung Galaxy Grand was an opportunity in the hands of South Korean giant, to take on Micromax and Karbonn - the hot phablet sellers of India. When it comes to Micromax, the device maker sold the handset in large numbers, but the success of Micromax Canvas HD affected the sales of Samsung Galaxy Grand.
Now every Indian tech vendor has come up their own versions of quad-core handsets under Rs. 15,000. Samsung retails the Galaxy Grand Duos for Rs.18,000, in the Indian market. To give competition to Micromax, the South Korean giant has introduced a new handset Galaxy Grand Quattro in the market. The quad-core handset can be purchased from Samsung's e-store at Rs. 18,260.
