Just a few hours back our GizBot team reported the leak on Samsung Galaxy J1 and now the same smartphone has been spotted in the Samsung's official website (Malaysia).
At the end of last year, Samsung introduced Galaxy A series to the mobile market. Looks like this year they started to bring E and J series. Samsung E series smartphones were already announced earlier this month and today it is official that Samsung Galaxy J1 is the first smartphone in the J series.
Samsung Galaxy J1 key specifications:
This one seems to be an entry-level smartphone with optimum specifications. It sports a 4.3 inch WVGA display with a resolution of 480 x 800 pixels. It has a 5 MP rear camera with LED flash and a 2MP front-facing camera for selfies.
The camera has some special features like Palm Selfie function which can detect the hand movements, So taking a selfie is made easy and can be done with simple hand gestures. Besides this, there's a Tap to take picture feature which helps in taking pictures by tapping any where on the screen.
This first smartphone in the Samsung's J series is equipped with 512MB of RAM and 4GB of on-board storage. MicroSD slot is provided and the external memory can be expanded up to 128GB.
It is powered by1.2GHz dual core processor and runs on Android v4.4 (KitKat). Connectivity features like Wi-Fi, Wi-Fi Direct, Bluteooth v4.0 and GPS+GLONASS are present in this smartphone.
In addition to the specs, Galaxy J1 has a 1850mAh removable battery which can offer a talktime up to 10 hours. Ultra Power Saving mode is also available to save the battery consumption.
As there's no official press release on this launch, the smartphone is intended to be launched in limited markets and it isn't made available globally. Currently. Galaxy J1 can be seen in Malaysian and Russian mobile markets, we have contacted Samsung to get information on India release date.
