Ever since Samsung launched the Galaxy J1 this year, there has been speculation that the company might unveil its spiritual successor. Apparently, it looks like the next-generation handset could be launched sooner than expected.
Dubbed as the Galaxy J5, the forthcoming mid-end device has just made another appearance on GFXbenchmark, revealing the Galaxy J5's specs in the process.
Samsung Galaxy J5 - Specs
The Samsung Galaxy J5 will come with a 5-inch display with a 720p resolution and the phone will be powered by a quad core 1.2GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon 410 processor.
Other specifications on the device include 1.5GB of RAM, 8GB of native storage, a 12 megapixel rear-facing camera and a 5 megapixel front facing camera. The phone will run on Android 5.0 Lollipop.
It's no secret that Samsung is working hard to make a strong come back in the entry-level segment. Earlier this year, it unveiled a couple of new budget handsets, including the Galaxy J1. The device is now available for purchase in two variants. The top-end model offers 4G LTE connectivity.
