Samsung Galaxy Mega 6.3 And Mega 5.8: First Look
Today marked the beginning of a new era for Samsung. Their Galaxy series gets bigger with the release of Mega 5.8 and the Mega 6.3. The event took place simultaneously in Chennai and New Delhi. GizBot was there to cover the minutest details for your all. It was rather a dim experience to hold Samsung Galaxy Mega 6.3 from one hand.
It was actually difficult to make a call, if you hold the device in one hand. Otherwise, the Galaxy Mega 6.3 has better viewing angles than compared to Mega 5.8. While playing the Samsung Galaxy Mega 6.3 for an hour, the device display is indeed capable of displaying natural and vivid colours. If you are familiar with Galaxy S4 and its highlighted software features then additions such as Air View, Multi Window, and Pop Up Play, will be made available on Samsung Galaxy Mega 6.3. Astonishingly, the handset weighs 199 grams (including batteries) making it really light.
It also carries massive 3,200mAh Li Ion battery-in our brief time spent with the device it would be difficult to tell you how Mega 6.3 performed. GizBot will share you accurate details when the handset gets stripped in our labs. Samsung manufactured Mega 6.3 houses Android 4.2 Jelly Bean.
You will find heavily skinned layer called improved TouchWiz UI on the top of v4.2 Jelly Bean. It's a distraction to your eyes. Everyone these days dream of stock Android OS.
Performance wise, the device performed optimally. The browsing experience was simply brilliant. Samsung could have opt for quad -core processor rather than going for 1.7GHz dual-core processor. In the imaging department, the device packs an 8-mega pixel rear facing camera and 1.9-mega pixel front facing camera. Pretty much satisfied with the image quality. The Galaxy Mega 6.3 will be introduced in the mid June 2013 at Rs. 31,490.
The Samsung Galaxy Mega 5.8 is a dual SIM handset with same features found inside the Mega 6.3. Let's start with few major negatives associated with the device. First of all, the display used by Samsung is huge. So, technically they should have used 720p HD display instead of QHD resolution. The manufacturer used 1.4GHZ dual core processor instead of quad core CPU.
It shares same specs, as found in Mega 6.3. You will find 2,600mAh battery inside. The device weighs 182grams. The Samsung Galaxy Mega 5.8 costs consumers Rs. 25,100, in the Indian market. Stay tuned to GizBot.
