It was reported recently that a reputed German retailer Notebooksbilliger was taking pre-orders for the unannounced Galaxy Mega 6.3. Interestingly, the online retailer listed the handset at €699 (Rs. 49,685). The quoted price which was slapped by the retailer on the Samsung Galaxy Mega 6.3 was rather outrageous, and way above the sky.
Well, just now the South Korean giant has announced the launch of Galaxy Mega 6.3 along with Samsung Galaxy Mega 5.8. Yes! The giant fonblets have been made official and the devices come with portability and convenience of a smartphone with the power, multitasking capabilities and extensive viewing experience of a tablet.
According to the company's press release, Samsung Galaxy Mega 6.3(GT-I9200) is equipped with a 6.3-inch PLS HD display, 1.7-GHz ARM Cortex-A15 dual -core processor, 1.5GB of RAM, Android 4.2.2 Jelly Bean, an 8-mega pixel rear camera, 1.9 mega pixel front facing camera for long video chat, 3200mAh Li Ion battery fitted inside, expandable storage up to 64GB, Bluetooth, Wi-Fi and A-GPS among other features.
The South Korean giant has also launched another variant under Galaxy Mega series. Samsung Galaxy Mega 5.8, with the model no - GT-I9152, is a device with 5.8-inch qHD display with resolution of 960 X 540 pixels , 1.4-GHz dual Core processor, Dual SIM, 1.5GB of RAM , 8GB internal memory, Android 4.2.2 Jelly Bean, 8 mega pixel rear camera, same 1.9 megapixel front-facing camera, same expandable storage, Bluetooth, Wi-Fi, A-GPS, and 2,600mAh Li Ion battery fitted inside.
The pricing of both the devices are still a mystery, while reportedly it has been informed that both the devices will be arriving in the markets beginning May from Europe and Russia. It is to be seen whether Samsung has any plans to bring Galaxy Mega series in the Indian market or not. The makers behind Samsung Galaxy S3 are preparing to announce much awaited Galaxy S4 in the Indian market this month only.
