Rumors are swirling around the coming of Samsung Galaxy Note 3 for a very long time now. Until now, it was said that the South Korean giant could use a 5.99-inch Super AMOLED Full HD display. Now according to a leading business daily of Korea (via Techkiddy), specifications of Galaxy Note 3 have been slipped by an insider at Samsung.
The exciting and the most highlighted part of the story: Samsung Galaxy Note 3 will arrive with a 5.7-inch display instead of rumored 5.99-inch. That's contrary to the reports circulating on the web. The report also says that Samsung have been testing different display sizes (including a 5.99-inch), but zero down on a 5.7-inch display.
It is suspected that Samsung doesn't want consumers to buy a 5.99-inch Galaxy Note device because the company just announced its Mega series in the market. In terms of design, the phone comes with a metallic bezel like Galaxy S4. This could mean that the Galaxy Note 3 would be similar to Galaxy S4 in terms of design. Also the Galaxy Note 3 will have 3GB of RAM.
Moreover, Android 4.3 Jelly Bean is a possibility. The use of Qualcomm Snapdragon 800 processor and 4G LTE-A were also mentioned. Recently, Samsung has announced improved Galaxy S4 with Snapdragon 800 processor and 4G LTE-A. The international variant of Samsung Galaxy S4 is said to use same beefy processor.
Earlier this month, the Korean Herald reported that Samsung Galaxy Note 3 will be stuffed with a 5.7-inch display.
"The world's No. 1 smartphone maker is also expected to reveal the 5.7-inch Galaxy Note 3 in September at the IFA 2013 event in Germany, according to industry officials."
So clearly, Samsung hopes to win consumers again with Galaxy Note 3. In the month of August, LG is prepping to announce its biggest gamble in the form of G2. The rumored G2 will feature some amazing internal hardware that includes : a 5.2-inch Full HD display, Snapdragon 800 processor, 2GB of RAM , 4G LTE-A and fingerprint sensor on the rear back.
