Following the launch of Galaxy S5, Samsung's next big-ticket handset will be the much hyped Galaxy Note 4. The forthcoming premium device has been gaining media attention, all thanks to its speculated features.
While specs have obviously not been confirmed yet, previous leaks and rumors suggest the device might get officially launched on September 3 at this year's IFA Berlin tech show. Meanwhile, a new report from The Korean Herald has sparked speculation that Samsung could bundle the upcoming Note device with the Gear 3 smartwatch.
Though no more details have been made available in respect to the Gear 3, and neither about the Note 4; however, it seems like Samsung would like to announce the third iteration in the Gear smartwatch series, ahead of Apple's iWatch dream debut later this fall.
Samsung Galaxy Gear 3 Tipped For September Launch
Not long ago, Samsung launched the Gear 2 (including, the Gear 2 Neo) and Gear Fit, at the MWC 2014 tech conference. There have also been strong reports that Samsung might announce a standalone smartwatch in June-July time frame. Dubbed the Samsung Gear Solo, the upcoming intelligent device could handle calls without the need of a smartphone. Also, at the same time, Samsung is speculated to come up with a wearable device that's going to be based on Google's Android Wear. As mentioned earlier, there is no word on what the Gear 3 will bring to the table.
Samsung Galaxy Note 4 To Make Debut at IFA Berlin 2014
Earlier this year, Samsung mobile chief Lee Young Hee told Bloomberg that the Note 4 would be launched in the second half of 2014, while the Korea Times claims it has been told the Note 4 will arrive at the IFA show in Berlin.
Talking about the rumored specs sheet, the Note 4 is expected to come with a 5.9-inch Flexible display Samsung is tipped to use a plastic LCD display, instead of regular Super AMOLED display panel. Moreover, the display might be curved in nature, according to a report from the South Korean publication.
The Galaxy Note 3 may pack a 64-bit processor, coupled with 4GB of RAM. On the imaging front, the device would feature a 20-megapixel rear-facing camera. Moreover, The Samsung Note 4 is expected to run on Android 4.5 mobile OS.
