The Samsung Galaxy Note 4 is due to launch at the September 3rd UNPACKED 2014 Episode 2 event in Berlin and the online world is getting all the new forms of rumor about the device prior to the launch of the handset.
The latest news coming from SamMobile's source close to the matter suggests that the Galaxy Note 4 will be using the same LiveFlex technology, which allows for the separation of the fingerprint sensing element into two parts. Also the company is said to continue to using the Synatpics' Natural ID technologies.
Talking about the LiveFlex technology, one of the parts will be inserted underneath the Home button, while the second one will be placed under the capacitive touchscreen display of the phablet. Thus, when you swipe your finger over the base of the display and the Home button, the fingerprint scanner will be able to read your fingerprint correctly and unlock the phone. Those who swipe their fingers only over the Home button will hardly be able to unlock their device.
If the reports from SamMobile is to be believed than, each finger can be alloted one app. In other words, fingerprint shortcuts will be one of the most important new features that Samsung will include in the Galaxy Note 4.
SamMobile also highlights the Korean giant's description of the new feature saying, "Sign in to websites that can remember passwords by swiping any of your registered fingers over the home key. To set up fingerprint recognition for your web accounts, follow the instructions below:
- Enter your username and password for web accounts that support fingerprint recognition.
- Enable Sign in using fingerprints.
- Sign out of the web account, then use a registered fingerprint to sign in again."
Other features that fingerprint sensor would do is related to Screen Lock, Private Mode with fingerprint authentication, Samsung Account Verification and PayPal Payments.
As far as the specs of the Galaxy Note 4 is concerned, it is rumored to come with a 5.7-inch QHD display, an octa-core Exynos 5433/Snapdragon 805 processor, 3GB of RAM, a 16-megapixel ISOCELL camera with 4K video recording (the camera will come with a optical Image Stabilizer), UV sensor, and Android 4.4 KitKat and more. Also another interesting rumor suggests that the other variant of the Galaxy note 4 would sport a three sided display from YOUM.
