Galaxy Note 8.0, XCover 2, Young and Pocket Plus: Alleged Samsung Roadmap Hints at 1H 2013 Launches
With only a month left for the Mobile World Congress 2013, the tech media world is filled with a bunch leaks, rumors and speculations regarding the upcoming launches. The world's largest smartphone manufacturer Samsung is one of those companies that is believed to sizzle the tech show with a plethora of launches.
Recently, Samsung has been making rounds in news not only for its much anticipated Galaxy S4, but also for Galaxy Note 8.0, Galaxy Pocket Plus, Galaxy X Cover 2 and Galaxy Young. Though the launch of the 8-inch tablet - Galaxy Note 8.0 is confirmed by Samsung's VP to happen at the MWC 2013, the release date of others remain unknown. However, with a leaked roadmap of Samsung's 1H 2013 launches, there appears to be some light on the launch of the handsets.
According to a TechnoBuffalo report, the product portfolio of Samsung for the first half of 2013 has been leaked revealing new devices including Galaxy Note 8.0, Galaxy Pocket Plus, Galaxy Young and Galaxy X Cover 2.
Below are the product sheets and the specifications of the upcoming Samsung devices. These details are subject to change as the South Korean manufacturer is yet to announce the devices.
Samsung Galaxy Note 8.0
The tablet will comes with an 8 inch Super Clear display with 1280 x 800 pixel resolution, Android 4.2 Jelly Bean OS, quad core 1.6GHz processor, 5MP rear camera, 1.3MP front camera, 16GB/32GB internal storage, micro SD card slot, Bluetooth, Wi-Fi and 4,600 mAh battery.
Samsung Galaxy X Cover 2
Galaxy X Cover 2 will boast a 4 inch WVGA TFT LCD display, 1GHz dual core processor, Android 4.1 Jelly Bean OS, 5MP rear camera, VGA front camera, 4GB internal storage, micro SD card slot, Bluetooth, Wi-Fi, micro USB 2.0 and a 1,700 mAh battery. Moreover, the handset is believed to be waterproof and dustproof with IP67 certification.
Samsung Galaxy Young
Galaxy Young might come with a 3 inch WVGA display, 1GHz processor, Android 4.1 Jelly Bean OS, 3MP rear camera, 4GB internal storage, micro SD card slot, Bluetooth, micro USB 2.0, Wi-Fi, A-GPS and 1,300 mAh battery. Further, the handset will come in dual SIM version.
Samsung Galaxy Pocket Plus
The Galaxy Pocket Successor will house a 2.8 inch HVGA display, 850MHz processor, 2MP rear camera, 4GB internal storage, micro SD card slot, Android 4.1 Jelly Bean OS, Bluetooth, Wi-Fi, A-GPS and a 1,200 mAh battery. It will come in single and dual SIM variants.
