If you've been craving to get your hands on Samsung's Galaxy Note Edge with its curved display, your wait is over. Samsung today silently launched the Galaxy Note Edge in India.
The ‘futuristic' high-end smartphone will go on sale in India, starting January first week through selected retailers at a price of Rs 64,990. The Galaxy Note Edge will be available in "Charcoal Black," and "Frost White" in India, according to Samsung.
Back in September, Samsung first unveiled the Galaxy Note Edge at this year's IFA Berlin tech show. The Galaxy Note 4 took most of the spotlight but Samsung's Galaxy Note Edge that has the same specifications but come with a curve display also got noticed.
The Galaxy Note Edge features a 5.6-inch Quad HD resolution display, a 2.7 GHz Quad-core Snapdragon 805, 3GB of RAM, Android 4.4.4 KitKat with Samsung TouchWiz, 16MP camera with Optical Image Stabilization, 3.7MP front-facing shooter, a 3,00mAh battery, and a thin 8.3mm frame. The Galaxy Note Edge, just like the Note 4, comes with an S Pen stylus.
The Samsung Galaxy Edge's retail price seemed to be less in India. That's because of the Apple iPhone 6 Plus, which starts upwards of Rs 63,000.
In the U.S., the Galaxy Note Edge will cost $399 or Rs 25,200 on-contract and around $900 or Rs 56,700 off-contract. Similarly, a consumer in the UK has to pay a cool £800 or Rs 78,638 to get the Samsung Galaxy Note Edge.
