Samsung took a leap of faith with their array of Galaxy Smartphones and tablets and they succeeded. The galaxy tablets were hugely successful and Samsung decided to develop something which will be more successful and top the charts instantly. And they are soon going to launch that ‘something' and it's christened as the Samsung Galaxy Note. The Galaxy Note is also an Android Smartphone but with a very impressive sleek design.

The Samsung Galaxy Note is unique because it has been designed to replace tablets and ordinary Smartphones. It apparently has almost all features of a Tablet but also is a dedicated Smartphone as well.

There were speculations that the Galaxy Note was a tablet and many thought it was just another Smartphone. But now it's clear that it's not either of the two but also is far better and enhanced than a Smartphone or a tablet. The 5.3 inch AMO LED touchscreen of the Samsung Galaxy Note offers an awesome display of 1280 x 800 pixels size and you will find it difficult to get your eyes and your fingers off of it. The smart phone is powered by a 1.4 GHz Dual Core processor, which makes it better than a 2 GHz Pentium 4 powered desktop PC. 1 GB RAM offers quick access to almost every applications, as you just have to imagine what an internal memory in size of GB can offer a Smartphone. The OS is obviously android, but it's the Gingerbread v2.3 of it which makes it cooler. Hundreds of thousands of applications are at your disposal.

The 8 Megapixel rear camera with LED flash will make the pictures you capture look spectacular. The front camera is 2 Megapixel offering amazing quality while video conferencing. There is enhanced technology of pen input in the new samsung mobile, which enables the user to make accurate sketches and artworks using a complimentary device called S Pen. Storage capacity is like in ordinary tablets but in the form of Micro SD cards. But only if it's extended to a maximum of 32 GB. 2 GB will be already present in the new samsung mobile. Features like Calendar Synchronization, Social networking applications, Samsung apps; Accelerometer, Proximity Sensor, Android market access application, etc are present in the Smartphone. It has 2.0 USB port as well along with a standard 3.5 mm audio jack.

Audio and video players are definitely excellent as Samsung doesn't make compromises in such basic applications. As a matter of fact, Samsung Galaxy Note has an enhanced Music Player with Sound Alive system to improve its audibility and quality to a great extent supporting formats like mp3, wma, wav, amr, aac, flac, and ogg. Superb video recording feature of 1080p resolution is another highlight and the video player supports video formats like MP4, H.264, H.263, WMV, DivX, and Xvid.

SMS/Email/Instant Messaging/Chat facilities are also embedded. Powered by a 1200 mAh Li ion battery, the phone will be active for up to 4.5 hours talk time and 390 hours standby time. The new samsung mobile lacks 3G compatibility but offers Hi speed 802.11 WiFi connectivity. 3.0 version enhanced Bluetooth can search and detect other Bluetooth activated handsets and connect and share data within no time.
