Several rumors and speculations have been going around about Samsung"s Galaxy Premier. Finally, the company has put an end to the rumors and has officially announced the next-gen smartphone. The Galaxy Premier will start shipping from November onwards and Russia will be one among the first few countries which will receive this device.
Moving on, Galaxy Premier will be released in other global destinations soon after. The pricing of the device has not been revealed by the company, however specifications of the handset have been made available. At a first glance, Samsung Galaxy Premier looks like Galaxy S3 and also seems to have taken inspiration from hot-selling Galaxy Nexus.
Samsung Galaxy Premier sports a 4.65 inch HD Super AMOLED display and supports a resolution of 1280 x 720 pixels. The device runs on Android 4.1 Jelly Bean operating system with touchWiz Nature UX atop. The device also comes along with an 8 MP rear camera which promises good quality images. Galaxy Premier also incorporates a 1.9MP front camera which can be used for video chatting and conferencing and houses NFC capabilities. It also has standard connectivity features like Bluetooth 4.0, Wi-Fi and A-GPS.
Samsung Galaxy Premier will be offering some of the exclusive features of Galaxy S III including Smart Stay, Direct Call, Pop-up play, S Voice, S Beam and Best Photo. The device also houses a decent 1.5GHZ dual core TI OMAP 4470 processor.
The smartphone will also include 1 GB of RAM capacity and will be made in two variants of storage capacity which include 8GB and 16GB.MicroSD support of up to 64GB is provided with the device. Furthermore, Galaxy Premier will be powered by a 2100 mAh which promises decent standby time and talk time.
If the rumors are to be believed, the device is expected to be priced as much as a high-end Android smartphone. Analysts also assume that the Samsung Galaxy Premier could certainly put Samsung in an even better position to compete with the Apple iPhone 5, which sports a 4 inch display.
As far as iPhone 5 features are concerned, the sixth generation Apple"s smartphone based on iOS 6 platform has a 4 inch display with a resolution of 1136 x 640 pixels, a new Apple A6 chipset, 1GB RAM, 16GB/32GB/64GB internal memory, 8MP rear camera with iSight technology and 1.2MP front camera.
