Samsung Galaxy s2 gets an HD version, powerful processor, high display

Apple iPhones were beginning to be a major worldwide hit, when Samsung decided to do something about it. Samsung’s Galaxy series handsets, then toppled the Handset market, and with the combined power of Android and Samsung’s technologies, Samsung brought forth the champion of the Galaxy series – Samsung Galaxy SII. Samsung Galaxy SII became an instant hit and is pretty popular even now.

Realizing the success rate of the Samsung Galaxy SII, Samsung decided to come with a few updates for the handsets. But that still wasn’t the real surprise. Each month, the Samsung Galaxy SII users increased, eventually rivalling the Apple iPhone series itself, with its sheer brilliant design, raw power and a spectacular display screen. But soon competitors arrived for the Samsung Galaxy SII as well.

Processors which are more powerful than that in the Galaxy SII started appearing and Samsung soon start focusing on its new phoneblet – Samsung Galaxy Note. But apparently, the still rising popularity and demand for Samsung Galaxy SII has come to the attention of Samsung.

It is probably due to this reason that Samsung decided to bring forth a new version of the Galaxy SII. Christened as the Samsung Galaxy SII HD, this new handset has been the main subject of discussion, in many gadget forums, and it also has a lot of rumours associated with it.

Recently news about the Samsung Galaxy SII HD came out which surprised many people anticipating the arrival of Galaxy SII HD. A British retail store named Mobicity was the source of the news. Mobicity claimed that the Galaxy SII HD will be appearing on its main site for sale soon. This obviously gave a lot of publicity for Mobicity, although the site didn’t seem to have had any information on the price details and release date of Galaxy SII HD.

It has been confirmed that the new HD edition Galaxy SII doesn’t come with any major changes in the specifications. It will have a bigger 4.65 inches AMOLED display and a faster and more powerful processor with 1.5 GHz clock speed. The battery is reported to be a standard Li ion 1850 mAh battery.

The handset will be running in Android v2.3 Gingerbread operating system, as per reports. However, Mobicity is gaining all the publicity nothing new. There aren’t any new pictures on the site and all it uses are pictures from Samsung’s official Korean site. But it’s pretty sure that Mobicity will soon be having their site display the Galaxy SII HD for sale.
