Galaxy S4 Scratch Test: Gorilla Glass 3 Display Survives Knives, Coins and Keys [VIDEO]
The latest flagship smartphone of Samsung - Galaxy S4 may be crammed with features, but it has left many disappointed with its plastic build. However, the handset is sure to impress the consumers as it is capable of thwarting all manner of abuse with sharp things.
Galaxy S4 is the first smartphone to arrive with Corning Gorilla Glass 3, a new chemically strengthened glass that is claimed to prevent the display from scratches. Also, Corning claims that the protection is three times more capable of repelling scrapes and grazes as compared to Gorilla Glass 2, which is used on Galaxy S3 and many other devices.

According to a repoty by SamMobile, the Galaxy S4 screen is tested against a variety of materials that one would really not imagine to use on such an expensive handset. Well, the smartphone is subjected to pricks and prods with a pen, three types of knives, a set of keys and various coins without causing any noticeable damage to the screen.
Looks like the Samsung Galaxy S4's screen holds up very well, it's really quite impressive. Hopefully we'll see a few more top of the line smartphones and tablets outfitted with these super strong protective displays in the near future.
As far as the availability of the Galaxy S4 is concerned, the handset will land in India on April 26 at an estimated price of Rs 42,000 approximately.
