Samsung Galaxy S4 is the most cherished handset announced this year. The successor to mighty Samsung Galaxy S3 is set to win heart and souls of millions of techies around the world. Samsung says that the device will arrive sometime in April. Well, Samsung India, hasn't shared any information with media in regards to the release date of octa-core powered device. But worry not as the handset could arrive in India, possibility, on May 15, 2013.

Online retailer Saholic has listed the beast this weekend. The retailer will likely to sell the device starting 15/05/2013. However, no pricing has been mentioned by the retailer. Undoubtedly, Samsung would like to reveal the pricing as well as the official release date in the first week of May. One of the online retailers has listed the device for a whooping Rs. 59,900, which is after all too expensive even for high-end premium users.

Every time before the announcement of well publicized handsets these fake pricing do swirl on the internet. If you recall, before the arrival of iPhone 5 (officially) in India, the handset was illegally sold in the price range Rs.70, 000 - Rs.120, 000 in one of the leading gray markets. GizBot believe that the price of the much awaited Galaxy S4 (16GB) version would be around Rs. 42,990. So, expect the handset to retail less than iPhone 5 16GB, which cost consumers Rs.45,550 in the Indian market.

As Apple iPhone is the benchmark to decide retail price of a handset; tech vendors around the world prefer to price their handset far less than iPhone. Recently, BlackBerry launched the BB Z10 in the Indian market for Rs. 43,490. Again the smartphone maker must have measured iPhone pricing, and then finalized the retail price of the BlackBerry Z10. Even after the launch of the Xperia Z and BlackBerry Z10, Apple is no mood to reduce the price of 16GB version of iPhone 5 in India. Despite that, Apple is now ranked the second largest supplier smartphone in India after Samsung, as per one report. It is to be seen how Apple reacts when Samsung officially launch the Galaxy S4 in India this coming May.

Samsung Galaxy S4 is one handset that could make Tim Cook managed Apple in a tizzy mood. The device comes with a 5-inch 1080p Full HD display, 8-core Exynos 5 processor, 2GB of RAM, 13-mega pixel rear camera, 2-mega pixel rear camera , Android 4.2.2 Jelly Bean ( upgradable to Android 5.0 ), NFC, 3G, Wi-Fi, Wireless charging ( optional), and lastly 2,600mAh battery fitted inside.
