Earlier this month, Samsung had launched their latest flagship Galaxy S4 Zoom along with the Galaxy S4 mini in India. After a short wait, The Galaxy S4 Zoom has finally appeared for pre orders on official Samsung India site which was first noticed by Fonearena. Not to mention the S4 Mini, that went up for pre orders last week at Rs. 27,200 while the Galaxy S4 Zoom comes at the cost of Rs. 29,390.
Without taking much time, lets have a quick rundown on the specs of the Samsung Galaxy S4 Zoom;
Samsung Galaxy S4 Zoom comes with a 4.3 inches Super AMOLED capacitive multi touch, touchscreen display that offers a resolution of 540 x 960 pixels and features 16M colors and 256 ppi pixel density. It is also protected by Corning Gorilla Glass 3.
The handset runs on Android OS, v4.2.2 (Jelly Bean). S4 Zoon is powered by a Dual-core 1.5 GHz Cortex-A9 processor and Pega-Dual +XMM6262 chip along with Mali-400 graphic. The handset is backed by 1.5 GB RAM.
Moving into the camera segment, as the name mentions Zoom, it comes with 16 MP rear camera with autofocus and Xenon flash and can shoot videos at 1080p@30fps. The handset features BSI CMOS sensor with 10x optical zoom, Optical Image Stabilizer (OIS) as well. While in the front face, the handset is attached to a 1.9 MP camera.
Samsung Galaxy S4 Zoom houses an internal storage capacity of 8 GB which can be expanded up to 64 GB via microSD card.
Connectivity options include GPRS, SPEED, WLAN, 3G, WiFi, Bluetooth, NFC and MicroSD. The handset is eventually powered by a Li-Ion 2330 mAh battery which offers up to 570 hours of standby time on 3G network and up to 13 hours of talktime on 3G.
However, both Samsung Galaxy S4 Mini and Zoom comes with a pretty much falls in a similar price range. Two of the major differences are the better camera and more Rs. 2,200 more price of Galaxy S4 Zoom.
However, the handset is likely to come in a vicious circle consisting of devices like it's very own sibling, Galaxy S4, Lenovo K900, HTC one, Nokia Lumia 1020 and others with more than 13 MP camera. Although, there could be a difference in the price but looking at the camera aspect, it will definitely have a tough competition.
