After months of rumors and speculations, Samsung Galaxy S5 Active has been launched officially. The much talked about successor to the Galaxy S4 Active is now available for sale in the US through AT&T at present, and has been priced at $714.99 contract-free (about Rs. 41,412 approximately). Users can also avail a 50 % discount on the Gear Fit till July 24.
Just like the original Samsung Galaxy S5, this special variant is rugged in nature, and has IP67 certified. The ruggedized version of the Galaxy S5 is water, dust and shock-proof. The device also has a "convenience" key on the side that can launch apps related to outdoor activities. It also comes with a heart rate monitor underneath the camera.

Besides the IP67 dust and water resistance capability already present in both devices, the Galaxy S5 Active is MIL-STD 810G certified, meaning the handset can withstand the adverse conditions.
