Samsung's latest flagship handset, the Galaxy S5, hasn't exactly been the iPhone 5S killer.
The premium phone, which was assumed to stop Apple's growth, might have failed to woo mainstream critics despite being stuffed with a beefy processor and bigger camera sensor.
In the meantime, Samsung has already started working on the mini version of the Galaxy S5, which might get launched by June of this year.
In fact, there have been rumors circulating about the Samsung Galaxy S5 Mini (SM-G800F) for quite some time.
Multiple reports in the past have suggested that Samsung would be announcing a miniature Galaxy S5 aimed at the forthcoming HTC One M8 Mini and LG's G3 Mini.
For now, it seems a safe bet to assume that the handset carrying a model no- SM-800F is indeed the upcoming Galaxy S5 Mini. Samsung Finland has mistakenly teased the Galaxy S5 Mini by publishing a support page for the device.
Although the company is yet to openly accept the existence of the Galaxy S5 Mini (SM-G800F), the device has been a subject of anxiety among loyal Samsung fans.
Furthermore, the product page features no image or specifications for the device; although its sudden emergence suggests that the handset could be out in the market sooner than expected.
Not long ago, the device in question appeared in a Samsung New Zealand warranty support document alongside the phone's water proof capabilities.
Apparently, Samsung's New Zealand website revealed that the Galaxy S5 Mini will be able to withstand submersion in water for up to 30 minutes.
Samsung Galaxy S5 Mini - What to expect?
The rumors have been circulating for months now that Galaxy S5 Mini will see daylight in the first half of 2014. If the existing rumors are to be believed, the Samsung Galaxy S5 Mini will incorporate a 4.5-inch 720p HD display, Qualcomm Snapdragon 400 processor, 1GB of RAM, 16GB of internal memory, a microSD card slot, an 8MP rear-facing camera, a 2MP front-facing shooter, and LTE support. Like the Galaxy S5, it will be rugged in nature.
