The eagerly awaited Samsung Galaxy S6 will make its official appearance on March 1 in Barcelona. The Galaxy S6 release date is fast approaching, with latest reports suggesting that that the device could go on sale starting March 22.

According to a report from PhoneArena, Samsung is planning to begin shipping the device sometime starting March 22. With MWC 2015 being held between March 2 and 5, Samsung has apparently scheduled a vacation blackout period between March 22 and March 30, suggesting plans to unravel the Galaxy S6 smartphone during the same period.

It's also being reported that the second vacation blackout is scheduled around starting around April 19. If rumours are to be believed, the Galaxy S6 Edge could be made available for purchase by April 19. Although an exact timeframe is currently unclear, we would expect the Galaxy S6 to hit retailers around March 25.

Samsung has already started sending out invitations to the press event that appear hint either that the S6 could have a curved screen, or that Samsung will launch two devices, the Galaxy S6 and the Galaxy S6 Edge, the latter of which will have a dual-edged curved screen.

According to rumours, the high-end 128GB version of the Galaxy S6 will apparently cost 949 Euros (Rs. 68,358). The 32GB Galaxy S6 Edge will cost 849 Euros (Rs. 61,128).
