Samsung Galaxy S6 Prototype Leaks Online: Here's What We Know So Far
Recent rumors about the upcoming Samsung Galaxy S6 are not going to die anytime soon, as the device may have leaked out in a new photograph.
An alleged photograph of the upcoming flagship device was published to the Web on Friday. The photograph, which first appeared on Dutch blog site Toptienmobiel, indicates a person holding a white handset marked with the Samsung logo.
The image show a large screened handset being held for the first time, revealing just how large it is. As expected the screen appears to be large with a thin bezel around the display.
If the rumors could be true, then the new Samsung Galaxy S6 would not bear the same resemblance with its predecessor, the Galaxy S5.
CNET, meanwhile, believes that the alleged leaked image of the Galaxy S6 could be a prototype device that will never get launched. Besides from the display size, no information was given about the exact resolution.
As you would expect, Samsung has yet to offer any official details on the Samsung Galaxy S6 release date. Therefore, we advise you to take this report with a pinch of salt.
Earlier this week, a Samsung smartphone with model no SM-G925F made an unexpected stop at AnTuTu benchmarks and this very model had similar specs that recently passed through. The leaked screenshots indicated the phone having a QHD display, an octa-core CPU and Mali-T760 GPU, 3GB RAM and a 20 megapixel rear camera.
Recently it was reported that Samsung was planning to unveil its flagship Galaxy S6 alongside a Galaxy S6 Edge with a curved Quad HD display, like the Galaxy Note Edge.
A rumor from SamMobile suggests that Samsung will be looking to revamp its struggling mobile division and build the Galaxy S6 from the scratch. Though it's not clear whether the S6 would share some similarities with its predecessor in terms of design and form factor.
Meanwhile, the latest rumor suggests that Qualcomm is having a problem with the Snapdragon 810 would lead to delays but the company has repeatedly denied this saying that the Snapdragon 810 is still on track for the first half of next year, a launch window that should also include the Galaxy S6.
A recent report from Korean publication Daum suggested that the Galaxy S6 release date could land in March. Just for the reminder, the Galaxy S5 was announced in February and released in April
Samsung is building curiosity around the Galaxy S6 amongst its core users, and now that the first alleged picture of the handset has leaked, it is bound to create ripples in the tech industry.
