Samsung Hires Designer from John Ive's Old Design Company

The South Korean tech giant Samsung has once again entred the spotlight by launching some of its flagship devices. But now Samsung fans are eager to see what kind of features and hardware the company is bringing for them. According to a report from The korean Herald, Samsung has hired a new designer on board the company.

The report states that Samsung has recently hired Lee Don Tae from London, a designer from a company called Tangerine. You might recall that Tangerine is the design firm that Apple's Jony Ive used to work at before shifting of to the Cupertino company.

Samsung Hires Designer from John Ive's Old Design Company

Lee Don Tae's position seem to be in a high level. He will be working from Samsung's Design Management Centre which directly under the control of the CEO which can also possibly tell us that lee could be reporting directly to the CEO.

He will be responsible for taking Samsung's best designs in a new direction, not only for the new Samsung Galaxy S6. It will be interesting to see the drastic changes on the Galaxy S6 in terms of design from the previous handsets, and hopefully the new design and direction that Samsung is headed will be able to reignite its sales.
