Samsung to Introduce Assertive Display For Future Exynos Smartphones

Samsung is massively in news in recent times for a host of reasons, leaks and rumors. The new one in line talks about how Samsung is looking ahead to introducing a brand new kind of screen for upcoming smartphones powered via Exynos processors.

According to reports, Samsung has announced that it has officially shown the green-light to Apical's Assertive Display tech for use in its future Exynos-powered smartphones. And that's a huge leap in terms of, well, technology.

If you are unaware, Assertive Display is a technology that assists in improving the viewing experience by adapting the display's content obviously based on the ambient light conditions. The tech will then take into account how your eyes can perceive visual content in a certain viewing condition.

"Apical has a long-standing relationship with Samsung Electronics and I am very glad that Samsung has chosen to integrate our display technology into Exynos processors for future smartphones," says Michael Tusch, CEO Apical.

But the concept of Assertive Displays isn't anything new. In fact, Nokia has already been tested it out on some of its devices, including the Lumia 1520. The screen helps in reducing the power consumption of a display although it makes changes to the viewing experience in real-time.
