Samsung's New Year Gift: Galaxy S3, Galaxy S Duos, Galaxy Ace Duos and Galaxy Note Prices Slashed

Samsung India seems to be on a New Year celebration spirit as the company has reduced the prices of several handsets including mid-range Galaxy Ace Duos and Galaxy S Duos and high-end Galaxy S3 and Galaxy Note. Online retailers Flipkart and Saholic have so far listed the handsets for this price tag and soon the others will also list them.

Samsung Galaxy S3 16GB version is now being offered at Rs 31,900, while the 32GB version is retailing for Rs 34,900. Similarly, Samsung Galaxy Note is now available for Rs 27,500, further, Flipkart is offering Rs 900 instant cashback. When it comes to specifications, Samsung Galaxy S3, the flagship smartphone of the South Korean tech giant and the hottest selling handset of the year sports a 4.8 inch Super AMOLED display with a resolution of 1280 x 720 pixels. It is powered by a quad core 1.4GHz Exynos 4 quad processor and 1GB RAM. Further, it has an 8MP rear camera with autofocus and LED flash and a 1.9MP front camera for video calling.

Galaxy Note, the first generation Samsung phablet comes with a 5.3 inch HD Super AMOLED capacitive touchscreen display, 1.4GHz dual core ARM Cortex A9 processor, 8MP rear camera, 2MP front camera, Android 4.0 ICS operating system, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, S Pen support, 16GB internal storage, micro SD card slot supporting up to 32GB additional storage and a 2,500 mAh Li-ion battery.

The mid-range offering, Galaxy S Duos smartphone houses a 4 inch capacitive touchscreen display with 480 x 800 pixel resolution. Running on Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich, the handset is equipped with a 1GHz processor, 5MP rear camera, VGA front camera, 4GB internal memory, 768MB RAM, a micro SD card slot supporting up to 32GB and 1,500 mAh Li-ion battery.

Speaking of Galaxy Ace Duos, the device comes with a 3.5 inch capacitive touchscreen display, 832MHz processor, 5MP rear camera, Android 2.3 Gingerbread operating system, Wi-Fi, dual SIM support, 3GB internal storage, 512MB RAM and a 1,300 mAh battery.
