Speculations are high when it comes to Samsung Omnia W, though confirmations are still pending. The device is supposedly having a 3.7 inch screen display and will feature 512 MB RAM according to the reports.
Talking about the specifications of the new Samsung Omnia W, the handset is a smart phone. The display as mentioned will be a 3.7 inches with a capacitive touch screen. The phone display will be equipped with a multi touch facility, and a light sensor. A proximity sensor will also be present for auto turn off of the screen for power saving.
The software configuration of the handset is a very efficient Windows Phone 7.5 Mango. The processor of the device is a single core with a dedicated CPU ticking at 1400 MHz clock speed. The phone memory is 512 MB RAM for faster computing with the device.
Samsung Omnia features 5 Mega Pixel camera for better image capturing with the phone. Video capturing is expected to be superior with increased frame rates. In addition to all these features, the highlighted one is again its NFC support.
If the leaked out specification points to something, then it’s nothing more than the fact that the new Samsung is having comparatively a lower specification. Maybe Samsung’s intention to make their new handset affordable is what that might have reflected in giving it such a comparatively lower configuration. So the new Samsung Omnia W is not a that bad idea.
The previous Omnia, the Omnia 7 couldn’t impress the world the way it was supposed to be, after Samsung expressing such great expectations for the phone. Word is that a majority is disappointed with the phone and they want a refund. True or not true, the critics are turning their back at it. The phone display is also not so special and with other major brands with better configurations and displays roll out similar category superior performing mobile handsets, Samsung is finding it difficult to come up with one good reason to the question, why Samsung?
