Samsung's latest flagship handset Galaxy S5 isn't even on the retail shelves, but the company has already been said to have been testing a special variant of S5, so as to cater a larger section of audience.
Recently the rumor mill has been ablaze with reports that Samsung could announce a super premium version of Galaxy S5, dubbed the Galaxy F. Reports of so-called "super premium" Galaxy S5 had not been verified yet.
Samsung Tipped to release Galaxy S5 Neo
In the meanwhile, Samsung could release a low cost version of the original Galaxy S5. It appears that the South Korean giant is interested in bringing the Galaxy S5 with less powerful hardware.
A Samsung-made phone with the model number SM-G800F has been imported into India via South Korea. Zauba, a website that basically tracks imports and exports to and from India, notes that the purported device has been brought into India for testing, and is valued at Rs. 31,790.
Interestingly, the Samsung Galaxy S5 previously appeared on the same import site as model no SM-G900F and was valued at Rs. 33,061.
At this moment, the device is yet to be verified, but one section in the tech media has started speculating that the purported phone could be the forthcoming Galaxy S5 Neo.
Also, the price difference between the Samsung Galaxy S5 and Galaxy Neo 5 (as per the tracking site) are closer to the price difference between the Galaxy Note 3 Neo and the original Galaxy Note 3.
Could this mean that the Galaxy S5 Neo would be priced similar to the Galaxy S5? Who knows?
