One good thing about the certification sites (like FCC) and benchmark sites for smartphone and tablet devices is that we at least get a brief glimpse of the upcoming devices prior to their official launches. And smartphone makers can't skip the sites anyhow.
Now a recent sighting of the new smartphone model from Samsung mentioned in the GFX Benchmark site as SM-G906S has come to our notice. This is one device which will attract a lot of attention in every way.
Although most of the information in the site has been kept hidden but still you can see the name Samsung SM-G906S listed. But there's a piece of information that brings immense interest for many. The information we are talking about there is the Quad HD (1440x256) display.
Moreover, the moment you hear that, you start recollecting the rumors prior to the Galaxy S5 launch which suggested that the device would be also launched with a Quad HD panel. But unfortunately this is probably not the Quad HD variant of the Galaxy S5 smartphone. Instead reports online are rampantly hinting at a new smartphone from Samsung and obviously it should be nothing less than a premium smartphone.
Also an unknown processor/memory combo is powering the SM-G906S device. The site further shows the SoC outperforming the Exynos-based SM-G900H Galaxy S5 in the GFXBench's Manhattan test.
Samsung Galaxy S5 mini variant has also been leaked today itself. Thus it looks like the South Korean smartphone maker is not only focusing on the tablet devices this year.
