Samsung Starts Rolling Out Android 4.4 Kitkat Update for Galaxy Mega 6.3
Last year around October, Samsung had confirmed that it would release the Android Kitkat update to a number of its devices. The Galaxy S4 got the update in February earlier this year and the Galaxy Note 2 received the same earlier this month in India. Also the Galaxy Note 3 got it back in January.
But the series that missed the update until then was the Mega. Now, the recent news coming from Russia, according to Samsung-bound tech site SamMobile, suggests that the Kitkat update has been rolled out to Galaxy Mega 5.8 and 6.3 smartphones.

The recently leaked Samsung documents suggested that the two aforementioned handsets would get the KitKat update sometime around June. But it looks like Samsung has already started the process from Russia. The Android 4.4.2 update for the Galaxy Mega 6.3 (GT-I9200) is now available in Russia via Kies.
The latest Android KitKat update brings wireless printing, support for emojis, minor UI changes and under the hood improvements such as white status bar icons, lockscreen Camera shortcut, Samsung Wallet and KNOX, improved user interface and performance improvements as well.
It is expected to roll out to other countries including India soon. Samsung is expected to roll out Android 4.4 update for other devices including Galaxy Grand 2, Galaxy Mega 5.8 and Galaxy Neo by June, according to the leak. If you are not aware, recently Samsung is also reportedly said to be testing Android 4.4.3 update for the latest Galaxy S5 smartphone and Galaxy S4 LTE-A variant.
