California-based Chipset maker Intel revealed that it will deliver its McAfee Mobile Security software to the Samsung's first home baked Tizen open-source operating system. McAfee is part of Intel Security. Samsung developed Tizen with Huawei Technology.
"With mobile malware samples up, we firmly believe that security should be seamlessly integrated into telecommunications. By including our software on new operating systems like Tizen, security is developed in parallel with the ever expanding technology landscape," McAfee Asia pacific Chief Technology Officer Sean Duca said in a statement.
Some of the notable features of McAfee Mobile Security are it offers protection against the web threats, malware, scan it real time, Quarantine infected files.
Samsung Z1 - Key Specifications
Moving on to the specifications, Z1 comes with 4-inch WVGA TFT LCD display with a resolution of 800×480 pixels. It is clocked at 1.2 GHz dual-core Spreadtrum SC7727S processor with Mali 400 GPU along with 768MB RAM.
This device comes with 4GB of internal memory with an expansion slot up to 64GB via microSD card slot. Also it comes with Samsung's very own OS Tizen OS 2.3. This dual SIM mobile carries a dimensions of 9.7mm thickness and weighs around 112grams.
On the imaging side, it employs a 3.1MP rear camera with LED Flash, VGA front-facing camera and it is juiced by a 1500mAh battery. Coming to the connectivity, it supports 3G, Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n, Wi-Fi Direct, Bluetooth, A-GPS and it has Tizen store, through which all the apps can be downloaded.
