Samsung Wave 3 And Samsung Wave M Head To Head Comparison
The third generation model of Samsung's highly successful wave series is the Samsung Wave 3. Samsung Wave M is another new model in the Wave series. But is it actually better than the Wave 3? Let's find out. It seems both handsets support 2G and 3G networks of GSM 850 / 900 / 1800 / 1900 (2G) and HSDPA 900 / 2100 (3G) frequencies respectively.

Samsung Wave 3 and Samsung Wave M have almost the same weight about 122 grams. But their dimensions differ as Wave 3 is 125.9 x 64.2 x 9.9 mm and Wave M is smaller with 113.8 x 63.3 x 12.2 mm dimensions. Apparently Samsung Wave 3 dominates in looks with its curves while Wave M looks sleek but not that catchy. Both these wave models are designed to work well with the Bada 2.0 version operating system. But Wave 3 owes its better and faster performance with the OS to its 1.4 GHz processor while the 832 MHz processor in the Wave M is just okay.

Wave 3 has a beautiful 4 inch display while the Wave M has an equally beautiful screen of 3.6 inches. The Wave 3 and Wave M have capacitive touch screen. But the Super AMOLED screen makes Wave 3 stand tall with Gorilla glass display and 480 x 800 pixel screen size while that of Wave M has 320 x 480 pixels resolution TFT screen. Camera features are same for both the handsets - 5 Megapixels auto focus LED Flash cameras at the rear and VGA cameras at the front. Cool features like stabilising a captured image, detect blinks and smiles, and focus using touch and geo tagging makes both the phones equally desirable when the cameras are considered while buying either of these handsets.

Wave 3 can amaze you with its unique multi-touch input featuring TouchWiz User Interface (same for Wave M) as well and Handwriting recognition mechanism which only the Wave 3 is capable of among the two. Wave 3 and Wave M are equipped with 150 MB internal memory and comes with 3 and 2 GB microSD cards. The user can make upgrades in the memory up to 32 GB for both handsets. Li ion batteries of different power boost standby and talk time backups of the handsets. Wave M has a less powerful battery of 1350 mAh while Samsung Wave 3 owes its awesome talk time battery backup to the 1500 mAh battery. Stand by time is 480 hours approximately for both models.

Wave 3 and Wave M have awesome Samsung's own media players supporting multiple media formats for video and audio streaming. WiFi, GPS connectivity makes them both must-haves taking into account their reasonable prices. USB ports (v2.0 micro) are obvious in the case of both models. V3.0 A2DP Bluetooth is sure to come in handy with its surprising transmission and connection speeds.

It's obvious from the specifications that Wave 3 will be more expensive compared to Samsung Wave M which is available for around Rs 16,000/-. Samsung Wave 3 has a price in India of approx. Rs 20,000/- but is absolutely worth the money.
