Samsung Z1 with Tizen OS Officially Launched in India at Rs 5,700

South-Korean Handset manufacturer Samsung has launched its first budget smartphone with home baked Tizen OS in India today. Dubbed as Samsung Z1, it is available in White, Black, Wine Red Color with a price tag of Rs. 5,700 across leading retail store. Also, it comes with 500MB of 3G data free every month for 6 months for Reliance and Aircel users.

Samsung Z1 - Key Specifications

Moving on to the specifications, Z1 comes with 4-inch WVGA TFT LCD display with a resolution of 800×480 pixels. It is clocked at 1.2 GHz dual-core Spreadtrum SC7727S processor with Mali 400 GPU along with 768MB RAM.

Hyun Chil Hong, President and CEO, Samsung India Electronics, said, "The smartphone market in India is rapidly evolving, with many consumers using their device as their screen of choice for content including videos, television programs and video games, as well as a range of apps. We have customized the Samsung Z1 to meet these unique, entertainment-focused needs of local Indian consumers for a personal and reliable mobile experience".

This device comes with 4GB of internal memory with an expansion slot up to 64GB via microSD card slot. Also it comes with Samsung's very own OS Tizen OS 2.3. This dual SIM mobile carries a dimensions of 9.7mm thickness and weighs around 112grams.

On the imaging side, it employs a 3.1MP rear camera with LED Flash, VGA front-facing camera and it is juiced by a 1500mAh battery.

Coming to the connectivity, it supports 3G, Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n, Wi-Fi Direct, Bluetooth, A-GPS and it has Tizen store, through which all the apps can be downloaded.

Moreover, it features the Ultra Power Saving Mode to conserve battery along with free access to Club Samsung such as 270,000 songs and over 80 live TV channels. Further, user can access Hungama music, nexGTv, Box TV subscription free for three months

Samsung Z1 comes with SOS alert, which will send out Help message to the user's primary contacts and track the user's location to provide help, when you press the power button four times. It comes with built-in AntiVirus protection that automatically checks for any viruses during app installation, checking email or receive an SMS.
