Second Generation Nexus 7 To Be Made Available in India Next Month
Google may soon offer the second-generation Nexus 7 in India, if reports are to be believed. Sources close to TOI Tech revealed that the software giant is all set to announce Nexus 7 (2013) in India next month. Originally, the 7-inch HD tablet was announced on July 26, 2013.
If a report published in the TOI Tech is true, then expect the tablet to be launched in India three months after its global debut. It is also said that Google is currently testing the tablet for Indian consumers. Moreover, Asus won't have much of a role to play when it comes to retailing the device.
Back in August, Peter Chang, Country Manager, Asus India, told The Hindu "The process for the second generation is under control, and, hopefully, by our fourth quarter, we will introduce it to India."
Google has already confirmed that the new generation Nexus 7 will land India soon. Reportedly, the 7-inch tablet will be sold via AndroidLand retail stores. There are no details on whether Google has plans to sell the device through Google Play store or not.The original Nexus 7 was introduced in India earlier this year after a long period of time.
