When observing the Indian smartphone market it can be said that budget smartphone are quite a success, when compared to high end specifications devices. Based on the same analysis, here is a comparison of two trending smartphones in the market, which have been recently launched and will hit the Indian stores very soon. The talk is about, Finnish phone maker recently launch smartphone Nokia Asha 311 and India's one of the favourite smartphone Samsung Galaxy Ace's successor the Galaxy Ace 2.
While Nokia Asha 311 has already been released by the manufacturer at a price of Rs 6,559 in the Nokia Shops and other retail outlets, however, Galaxy Ace 2, unveiled at the Mobile World Congress 2012 in February, is yet to be released into the Indian market. Th South Korean Giant's budget Android smartphone was rumored to come in May and July, but did not make its way into the market, however it has been released in UK at a price of around Rs 15,000, hence the same price tag is expected by the country's tech enthusiasts.

Display and Dimension: Nokia Asha 311 measures 106 x 52 x 12.9 mm and weighs 95 grams while Samsung Galaxy Ace 2 measures 118.3 x 62.2 x 10.5 mm and weighs 122 grams. While, Asha 311 sports a 3 inch capacitive touchscreen display with a resolution of 240 x 400 pixels with 155 ppi, Galaxy Ace 2 sports a 3.8 inch capacitive touchscreen display with a resolution of 480 x 800 pixels and 246 ppi approximately.
Processor: Nokia Asha 311 is equipped with a 1 GHz processor while Galaxy Ace 2 is equipped with a dual core 800 MHz processor.
Operating System: Nokia Asha 311runs on the Symbian S40 OS, which is an outdated platform as compared to other mobile OS available in the market. At the same time, the Galaxy Ace 2 runs on the Android 2.3 Gingerbread OS, instead of Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich.
Camera: Nokia Asha 311 sports a 3.15 MP rear camera, which can capture images with a resolution of 2048 x 1536 pixels and VGA videos@25fps.
On the other hand, Galaxy Ace 2 sports a 5 MP rear camera which can capture images with a resolution of 2592 x 1944 pixels and 720p videos@30fps. It also has a VGA front camera for video conferencing. However, Asha 311 lacks a front facing camera, which is present in most smartphones of today.
Storage: Asha 311 has an internal storage of 140MB and a 128 MB RAM while Galaxy Ace 2 comes with an internal storage of 4GB and 768 MB RAM. However, both the handsets have a micro SD card slot, which supports expandable memory up to 32 GB.
Connectivity: Nokia Asha 311 comes with connectivity features such as Bluetooth 2.1 with EDR, Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n, HSDPA 14.4 Mpbs, HSUPA 5.76 Mbps, micro USB 2.0 and USB on to go. On the other hand, Galaxy Ace 2 comes with connectivity features such as Bluetooth 3.0 with A2DP, Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n, DLNA, Wi-Fi Hotspot, HSDPA 14.4 Mpbs, and micro USB 2.0.
Battery:Nokia Asha 311 is powered by a 1110 mAh Li-ion that offers a talk time of 6 hours and a standby time of 768 hours whereas Samsung Galaxy Ace 2 is packed with a 1500 mAh Li-ion battery that offers a talk time of 7.5 hours and a standby time of 640 hours approximately.
Price:Nokia Asha 311 is priced at Rs 6,559 from the Nokia Shop, while the Galaxy Ace 2 is rumored to cost Rs 15,000 approximately.
The Galaxy Ace 2 is a mid range Android smartphone with pretty decent specifications on board and worth a purchase. On the other hand, Nokia Asha 305 is a low priced handset with comparatively lower-end specs. Hence, the Galaxy Ace 2 is worth a wait and those who have to go for a phone upgrade without any waste of time can go for Nokia Asha 311
