Snapdragon 810 Powered Vivo Xplay 5 Might Launch Early Next Year [Report]

One of the high-end chipsets that Qualcomm has launched this year is the Snapdragon 810, which has not been used by any smartphone makers, thus far. However, early signs of the chipset being used in one particular handset has started making rumors in the tech community.

Snapdragon 810 Powered Vivo Xplay 5 Might Launch Early Next Year

The news come from a Chinese tech analyst Pan Jiutang, who reportedly said that the Snapdragon 810 chipset may premiere in either the Oppo Find 9, Xiaomi Mi5 or Vivo Xplay 5. He further added that the Vivo Xplay 5 has the highest chance to come first.

If you are wondering about Snapdragon 810 chipset, it uses ARM's big.LITTLE architecture and goes for four Cortex-A57 cores and four Cortex-A53 ones. The processor would be coupled with with Adreno 430 GPU.

The CPU switches between one or the other to provide a good balance between power and efficiency. The SoC will be capable of 4K video have an Adreno 430 GPU, and will have LTE capabilities too.

In addition, the Snapdragon 810 14bit dual ISP (pixel throughput of up 1.2GPixels / s), support for 64bit dual channel LPDDR4-1600 memory, memory bandwidth is increased to 25.6GB / s.

The Vivo Xplay 5, will probably launch in around December of January in time of the Chinese Spring Festival.
