Sony D2403: Another Moto G Rival Coming With 4.4 Inch Display And Quad-Core CPU
Japanese giant Sony is struggling to remain competitive in the world where Apple and Samsung have grown to dominate the consumer electronics market.
While the company's television division needs introspection, the mobile division, on the other hand, stays competitive despite facing tough completion from the likes of Samsung and Gionee.
Sony has already launched number of handsets in the first half of 2014, including the Xperia Z2, a rival flagship phone to Samsung Galaxy S5. Mature markets remain loyal to mid-to-premium phones, while those in emerging markets are opting for low-end handsets.

After the success of Motorola Moto G, the smartphone market is shifting toward the mid-range / low-end market and in this scenario a new affordable phone from Sony will likely to boost company's presence in emerging markets.
Sony has been rumored to bring a Moto G competitor into market. Looks like the leaked D2403 might end up being a "flagship low-end" handset from Sony's stable in coming days to come. The phone, codenamed- D2403, has apparently leaked through GFXBench's site.
Sony D2403- What about Specs?
Talking about its spec sheet, the Sony D2403 will have a 4.4-inch display with a resolution of 960 x 540 pixels. It will be powered by a 1.2GHz quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon chip with an Adreno 305 GPU coupled with 1GB of RAM and 16GB of internal memory.
On the imaging front, the device in question is expected to come with an 8-megapixel rear-facing camera and a VGA quality front-facing camera. Furthermore, the purported handset is said to run on Android 4.4.2 Kitkat out-of-the box.
Moto G soon to get another rival: Sony D2403
Motorola's Moto G is a phenomenal handset considering its affordable price and respectable specs into a package. The phone is not the best but decent enough for Rs. 12,499 (8GB). The upcoming Sony D2403 seems to feature similar spec to the Moto G. However, we're still looking forward to see a new handset that can rival the Moto G.
Sony's smartphone value share in India has overtaken Apple to become the second largest smartphone brand in India in value sales, according to latest data from market tracker IDC.
