Sony Honami: 5-inch Full HD Cyber-Shot Camera Phone to Debut at IFA 2013

After delivering hit in the form of Sony Xperia Z, the iconic Japanese headquartered tech giant is back, literally. The makers behind recently launched SmartWatch are working on a crazy handset currently dubbed as Honami.

The upcoming device will be equipped with a 20-mega pixel camera sensor powered by Sony's Cyber-shot technology. The handset has been in the news for being pure Cyber-shot camera phone. The Sony Honami will have a 1./1.6-inch Exmor RS sensor present in the device. Currently, there are other precisioned camera phones available in the market, for instance, the Nokia 808 PureView, which still has a larger 1/1.2-inch sensor than compared to upcoming Sony device.

On the other hand the Nokia N8 has a 1/1.83-inch censor making the handset capable for capturing blissful images. The new age handsets including the Samsung Galaxy S4 aren't sane in comparison to the Honami device. As per the new rumors, Sony wants to integrate the best possible imaging software goes into the making of the Honami.

The presence of Dual LED flash light is among the expected features to be included in the device. As per the report, the Japanese giant is said to be take cues from the recently launched Cyber-shot line that includes - brushed UI among other features ( viaVR-Zone). On the specifications side, it will have a 5-inch Full HD display, 2GB of RAM, Qualcomm Snapdragon 800 Quad -Core processor, and 2,700mAh battery fitted inside.

The upcoming "Honami" device could be announced at IFA 2013 to take place in Berlin. The handset will be a mixture of glass and metal styled body, making it ultra glamorous. Naturally, the device will be a step above company's last big launch - Sony Xperia Z.

These days, Apple is also making efforts to promote is iPhone 5, as a true camera device. The Cupertino based technology giant has launched a new ad campaign push sleepy iPhone sales.
