Sony always stays ahead of the competition, when it comes to built quality and fantastic hardware. We have seen how elegant the Xperia Z Ultra looks, a monster phone having 6.4-inch Full HD display. That's not the end of innovation, as the Japanese giant is looking forward to unveil Honami i1 at IFA Berlin.

Rumored to have a 20-mega pixel camera with Sony G-lens and BIONZ image processor, Honami i1 should be easily considered among the "Smartphone of the year ".

Well, Sony is yet to announce the phone officially. In the meantime, few more images of the device have been leaked( via Gadget helponline). Being a Sony designed phone, it is natural to see similarities with other Xperia handsets. The leaked images gave a clear picture in regards to design and form factor.

The phone indeed looks like Sony Xperia Z, a 5-inch Full HD handset announced at CES 2013. You can see standard rectangular block design and razr sharp edges. The rear back is made of glass. The positioning of speakers has been completely repositioned when compared to Xperia Z. Now Sony has added a dedicated camera button. On the back you can see a camera sensor.

It is said that Honami i1 will have a 20-mega pixel camera with the most advances imaging optics technologies added. The sensor will measure 1/2.3" instead of rumored 1/1.6".The camera UI is completely revamped. Moreover, the source is still not clear whether the phone in reality has a 20-mega pixel camera or not. The camera software is not final and the resolution settings were missing, as per the source who managed to get these alleged images.

Sony Honami i1 - Rumored specifications

The Sony Honami i1 will have a 5-inch 1080p HD display. Like any other high-end smartphone, the device is said to pack a 2.2GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon 800 processor coupled with 2GB of RAM and 16GB of ROM (expandable). The rear camera will have a 20-mega pixel camera with Exmor CMOS sensor, BIONZ image processor, and Sony "G" lens. Other highlighted features include: a 3,000mAh Li Ion battery, Android 4.3 Jelly Bean, 4G LTE, 3G, Wi-Fi, Miracast, NFC, water proof and dust resistant, and Bluetooth 4.0.Sony will announce the phone at IFA Berlin.
