Sony's long awaited i1 also known by its codename Honami has been in the leaks and rumors for more than a couple of times now. Yet again it has appeared online but this time it is not only in the form of images but it also comes along with the specs. Although the specs of the handset was in rumors for a long time, it might actually confirm the previous leaks at least.
The leaks this time comes from a Taiwan-based news site called ePrice that published images recently of the long-rumored Sony i1 Android smartphone along with the specs. The publication reported saying that the device would come with a standard size 5-inch 1080p HD display and a massive 20.7-megapixel rear camera which is more than other Sony flagships, and a 2.2GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon 800 processor.
The specs published by ePrice also indicate that the handset will feature near-field communication. Further, it also says that the phablet would feature a 2-megapixel front-facing camera, and 2GB of RAM along with a an internal storage capacity of 16GB. The handset is said to be equipped with a Sony "G Lens" and a discrete Bionz image processor as well. The phablet is also comes with an Exmor R sensor, connectivity over MHL, Wi-Fi Miracast, and NFC, IPX5 and IPX7 certification as water resistant and dust proof, and a 3,000mAh battery.
Moreover, almost all the specs match with the previous rumors and the difference just lies in the battery power which was earlier said to come with 2,300mAh. Further previous rumors suggested the handset would also come with an Android Jelly Bean operating system, 4G LTE, Wi-Fi and Bluetooth 4.0 as well.
The handset is highly expected to be seen on Sony's press conference on September 4 this year at Berlin. Not only that but the mini variant of the same handset is also said to appear on the the same date.
As the tech world has seen almost all the aspects of the handset so far, GizBot has come up with the round up of all the Sony Honami's images that are leaked so far. For more Honami stories click here.
