Japan based Sony has announced the roll-out of Android 5.1 Lollipop update for the Xperia Z series. These devices includes Xperia Z, Xperia ZL, Xperia ZR, Xperia Tablet Z, Xperia Z1, Xperia Z1S, Xperia Z Ultra, Xperia Z1 Compact, Xperia Z2, Xperia Z2 Tablet, Xperia Z3, Xperia Z3v, Xperia Z3 Compact and Xperia Z3 Tablet Compact.

Moreover, devices like Xperia M2, M2 Dual, Xperia M2 Aqua and Xperia M2 Aqua Dual will be directly updated to Android 5.1 after the Xperia Z series.

Android 5.1 isn't really a major update so users shouldn't expect any drastic changes, however they will find performance and stability improvements as well as crucial bug fixes.

On the other hand, Sony has started the pre-order for Xperia Z3+ aka Xperia Z4 (in Japan) in UK. This device features 5.2-inch IPS screen with a resolution of 1080 x 1920.
