Sony Xperia Z3 and Z3 Compact Users Are Finally Receiving Android Lollipop 5.0 Update
Here's the news for the Xperia Z3 and Xperia Z3 Compact smartphone users! Sony has announced that, it has started rolling out the latest Android Lollipop 5.0 update for both Xperia Z3 and Xperia Z3 Compact smartphones. Initially, these updates will reach in Nordics and Baltics first. On the other hand, Sony also revealed, that the Lollipop update will reach other Xperia Z series devices around early April.
Coming to the update, company has posted improvements, you can expect after the update. They are:

1. UI based on Google's material design, but retaining Sony's minimalistic approach.
2. Enhanced notifications and lock screen with fully customizable settings.
3. Multi user profiles and guest mode.
4. Android for Work support.
5. Better storage control and customization with the option to easily move applications from internal memory to SD card.
Lollipop updates comes with new material design which offers a bold, colorful and responsive UI design, refreshing notification system. It allows the users to see the notification in the lock screen and heads up notification are displayed like banners on the top of the screen.
Additionally, there is do-not-disturb feature also added in the notification bar. This update also contains battery optimization, which includes battery saver mode, job scheduling and a new developer tool called Battery Historian which tracks the battery consumption by the apps.

On the other hand, reiterating the specs, Xperia Z3 is packed with 5.2-inch display, with a resolution of 1080x1920 pixels, 2.5GHz quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 801 along with 3GB RAM, 16GB internal memory, 128GB via microSD, 20.7MP rear camera, 2.2MP front camera, runs on Android KitKat 4.4, powered by 3100mAh battery.
Moving to the Z3 compact, it comes with 4.6-inch display, 2.5GHz quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 801 along with 2GB RAM, 16GB internal memory, 128GB external memory, 20.7MP rear camera, 2.2MP front camera, runs on Android KitKat 4.4, powered by a 2600mAh battery.
