As expected, Sony has announced Xperia Z2a in Taiwan. The variant is essentially identical to Xperia ZL2 (SOL25) that was announced for au by KDDI in Japan, recently. However, one big difference between the two phones is that the Xperia Z2a has 16GB internal storage, while the Xperia ZL2 features a 32GB native storage. Moreover, the Xperia Z2a will be the first Sony phone to support Taiwan's full-band 4G LTE (700MHz, 900MHz, 1800MHz) network.
The Sony Xperia Z2a comes in Turquoise, White and Black color variants and would go on sale in Taiwan in July, this year. However, the company has not revealed the pricing of the handset at the moment and this particular model is not likely to make it to other markets.
Anyways, the latest Xperia Z2a features a heavy specs which is quite enough to battle the latest ones in the market to some extent. It comes with a 5-inch (1920 x 1080 pixels) Full HD Triluminos Display powered by X-Reality engine.
It is powered by a 2.3 GHz quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 801 processor and Adreno 330 GPU coupled with a massive 3GB RAM. It runs on Android 4.4 (KitKat) OS.
Sony is quite particular about its camera modules that are used in its phones, thus you will get an excellent 20.7MP rear camera with Exmos RS sensor, Sony G lens, 4K video recording, LED flash and a massive 3.1MP front-facing shooter as well with BSI sensor.
The handset features a native storage of 16GB internal memory which is further expandable up to 128GB via microSD card. And as said earlier it supports a 4G LTE network. Other connectivity options include WiFi 820.11 a/b/g/n, Bluetooth 4.0 with APT-X, GPS/ GLONASS, MHL 3.0 and NFC.
