Here's some good news for all you selfie-holics absolutely in love with Sony-made camera sensors. According to reports, Japanese smartphone tycoon Sony Mobile has officially introduced the Xperia C3 smartphone, claiming that it's the best selfie phone out there.
The main selling point of the new smartphone is obviously its 5-megapixel wide-angle camera on the front (25mm with 80-degree field of view) that the new handset will arrive on shelves with. This will enable users to capture more in a selfie that they click every time.
Apart from that, the new smartphone has also been made official with a unique soft flash offering next to the front camera. This has been done so that users can snap selfies with ease even at night. It is to be noted that this is possible either via double tapping the phone's back or even via the use of Smile Shutter.
"Xperia C3 is a unique new smartphone from Sony, created to offer the ultimate social sharing experience with a new powerful ‘PROselfie cam'," says Calum MacDougall, Director of Xperia Marketing at Sony Mobile Communications.
"It also presents a combination of the best of Sony, with leading digital imaging technology and brilliant specs and performance all for a mid-range price."
"The rise of selfies shows no signs of abating - its usage has increased by 17,000% since 2012 with the word officially being added to the Oxford English Dictionary in 2013. We're excited to offer Sony's first ‘PROselfie Smartphone' and play a part in this global phenomenon," he added.
