Sony had announced recently two new additions to the Sony camp for the New Year, called as Xperia E along with its dual SIM version Xperia E dual. Even though Sony had said the phones would be reasonably priced, it hadn't announced the prices. Some light has been shed into the matter of pricing at least in the European markets.
The unlocked entry-level single SIM version of Sony Xperia E would go on sale for € 159 (Rs. 11, 200 approx.) while the unlocked entry-level dual SIM version is priced at €169 (Rs. 11,900 approx.).
These prices were revealed by from Sony Mobile Germany in a press release.
The Sony Xperia E and Xperia E dual smartphones offer a lot of interesting features like HVGA touch screen of 3.5 inches, 1 GHz processor, VGA video recording, A-GPS Bluetooth, WiFi and WiFi spot functionality, xLOUD tech, 4 GB internal memory, HD Voice, 3D surround sound along with a manual equalizer, autofocus camera with 3.2 mp. microSD upto 32 GB, DLNA and a WALKMAN app built in it consisting of xLOUD tech.
The smartphones run on Android 4.1 Jelly Bean platform and measures 113.5 x 61.8 x 11mm weighing 115.7 grams. The phone also has a 1530 mAh battery which boasts of giving talk time for upto six hours.
The quoted prices are quite reasonable considering it is an Android Jelly Bean smartphone. Europe is expected to be one of the first markets where Xperia E and Xperia E dual will be released, in the first quarter of 2013.
