Out of the blue, an unannounced 5.2-inch Sony smartphone was recently spotted in a series of benchmark tests (at Geekbench and GFXBench), this might suggest that we might see the device soon or at MWC 2015. The Xperia Z3 also sports a 5.2-inch screen, we are guessing that it may be a new handset which could be the Xperia Z4. However, it isn't the Xperia Z4.
According to the info displayed by Geekbench and GFXBench, the new Sony smartphone codenamed as E2303 runs Android 5.0 Lollipop, and is powered by an octa-core, 64-bit Snapdragon 615 processor, while its 5.2-inch display has a 720 x 1280 pixel resolution. Other features includes a 12 MP rear camera, a 5 MP front-facing camera, 2 GB of RAM, and only 4 GB of internal memory.
We can say that the Sony E2303 appears to be a mid-range handset and can perhaps be the successor to last year's Xperia C3, which also has a 5 MP front-facing camera and a 720p display.

Since Sony plans not to announce the Xperia Z4 at MWC 2015 next month, maybe it can showcase this mysterious E2303 smartphone there.
We will have to wait and observe Sony's next big step. Do stay tuned for more updates and MWC 2015 coverage.
