Sony Xperia M2 Dual Now Available for Pre-Order in India At Rs 20,999

Here's some good news for all your hardcore Sony Xperia fans looking ahead to buy a new smartphone of the same build. Japan-based premium smartphone maker Sony's newest offering -- the M2 Dual -- is now up for pre-order via Flipkart, with pre-order starting at Rs. 20,999.

 

The device is an immediate successor to the company's popular Xperia M which is still a popular handset in the Indian market, and although the device is not a high-end one but comparatively a great deal of smartphone at the given price.

Talking about the specifications for the device, the M2 Dual comes with a 4.8-inch capacitive touch screen display offering a resolution of 960 x 540 pixels.

The device comes powered by a 1.2 GHz quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 400 (MSM8226 ) processor with Adreno 305 GPU coupled with 1GB RAM. It runs on Android 4.3 (Jelly Bean) OS. And going by the fact that Sony has been updating almost all its latest devices with KitKat update, the new device just might also get the KitKat treatment soon.

The latest M2 Dual, true to Sony's commitment in this area, comes with a great camera backing. It features an 8MP rear camera with LED flash. The rear camera which uses Exmor RS sensor can shoot video at 1080p quality as well. The front facing shooter is not a great one as it just features 0.3MP (VGA) sensor.

Sony is also offering the Xperia M2 Dual with a native storage capacity of 8GB which can be further expanded up to 32GB via microSD card.

Connectivity options remain regular, which include 3G HSPA+, WiFi 820.11 b/g/n, Bluetooth 4.0, GPS and NFC. Additionally, as the name suggests, it comes with a Dual SIM support.
