Japanese phone maker has been making a lot of news these days in the mobile space, especially, with its Xperia series. It seems the company is all geared up to bring some hefty Android phones to pose a serious threat to dominating players in the market including Apple, Samsung, HTC and others.
The latest buzz swirling around the tech media world is related to its upcoming smartphone - Sony Xperia SL. This smartphone was spotted in the wild by a Chinese website, ePrice, and the upcoming phone reportedly appears to be the successor of Sony's flagship device Xperia S.
What Features to Expect?
According to the report, Sony Xperia SL will feature 1.7GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon and will sport Android 4.0, further, it is likely to hood the latest Android Jelly Bean OS in due course of time. Moreover, the handset is informed to house a 1.5GHz dual-core chip.
As far as other features are concerned, reportedly Sony Xperia SL might have a 4.3-inch high definition screen and house a 12-megapixel camera. Sony is currently offering is Xperia S in two colour options - black and white but from the leaked images it appears that Xperia SL will offer more colour options such as silver, pink and even a purple.
Under the Xperia range, Sony is already offering Sony Xperia U, Xperia P, Xpera Sola and Xperia Neo L apart from Xperia S. Sony had recently also launched its rugged Xperia handset Sony Xperia go in the Indian market.
Alon with the handset, past reports also claimed that Sony will launch highly anticipated smartphone Xperia mint LT30p and the company is also the talk ofthe tech gossipers for its upcoming Sony Xpeira tablet. This tablet was last spotted on a German website along with a full bouquet of accessories and is expected to hit the market shelves soon.
As the recent image leak has took place ahead of the advent of IFA event, hence analysts predict that it is a clear hint that Sony will launch Xperia SL during the Sony's pre-IFA event in Berlin on August 29. Further, industry observers have claimed that there is quite a possibility that the LT29i 'Hayabusa' might also make an appearance at the same event.
