Being a premium player in the mobile market, the Japanese giant always offers quality driven products. One such handset - Xperia Tipo, was introduced back in 2012. Loaded with above average specifications, it was indeed a great handset targeted at price conscious Indian consumers.

Since its launch, the Xperia Tipo used to sell for same price. Now an online store - Saholic has slashed the price of Sony Xperia Tipo Dual ( ST21i) by up to sixteen percent. Generally, these online retailers never give big discounts on Sony made devices. It is very unusual to see a discount has been offered on Xperia Tipo Dual. Last week, a senior level executive told GizBot that Sony has no plans to announce any new low-end Android smartphone in the coming weeks.

Sony Xperia Tipo Dual Gets Price Cut To Rs 7,979

The Sony Xperia Tipo, is indeed company's cheapest Android OS powered smartphone in India. It packs a 3.2-inch display with resolution of 320 x 480 pixels, 800MHz Qualcomm single -core processor, 512MB of RAM, Adreno 200 GPU, 2.9GB of internal storage which can be further expanded up to 32GB via microSD cards. There is a 3.15-mega pixel rear facing camera given on the back along with VGA quality front facing camera. The handset is powered by Android 4.0 ICS. Other features include : 3G, Wi-Fi, Dual SIM, A-GPS, Bluetooth, USB 2.0 and a 1500mAh battery inside. Saholic is selling this dual SIM handset for Rs. 7,979 down from Rs. 9,490.

Few days back Micromax announced Canvas Music A88 for Rs. 8,499. As the name says, its Micromax take on music centric handsets. In terms of specs, the device has better loaded internals. You also get free JBL Tempo headset with Canvas Music A88. The dual SIM powered handset comes with a 4.5-inch display, 1.2GHz dual-core MediaTek MT6577 processor, 512MB of RAM, Android 4.1.2 Jelly Bean, 4GB of internal memory ( expandable), 3G, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth , GPS, and a 1800mAh battery inside.
